2026 Women’s Giving Circle Nominations Now Open

Nominations for the 2026 AMCF Women’s Giving Circle Are Open

The Women’s Giving Circle is built on a simple idea: when American Muslim women give together, they create impact no single gift could achieve alone. It’s collective action in practice — members pooling resources, nominating causes they believe in, and voting to direct real funding to the nonprofits doing the work. Along the way, the Circle builds community too, connecting members and nominee organizations alike, and creating space for American Muslim women to show up fully — as nonprofit leaders, founders, donors, and supporters.

Nominations for the 2026 cycle open August 3 and close September 7. If there’s a nonprofit doing meaningful work in your community, this is your window to put them forward.

What’s New This Year

The nomination and voting process itself hasn’t changed — what has changed is how we support nominated organizations. We’ve streamlined the application down to just 10 questions: contact information and a link to their Candid profile. It’s a small change with a real purpose — removing barriers so more organizations can take part. We’ll also be hosting an information session for all nominees to walk through the process and answer questions along the way.

Key Dates to Know

  • August 3: Nominations open
  • September 7: Nominations close
  • As organizations are nominated, we’ll reach out directly with the streamlined application
  • September 21: Final day for nominated organizations to submit their application

Members and voting members will receive additional reminders about these dates as the cycle progresses.

How to Get Involved

Membership in the Women’s Giving Circle is by donation.

  • Members support the cycle through a donation (recommended $5+/month) and may nominate one nonprofit organization, including one they’re affiliated with.
  • Voting Members support at a deeper level ($420/cycle, or $35/month) and go on to vote in both rounds that determine the year’s funding recipients.

However you take part, your involvement is an act of collective giving — one piece of a larger circle of collective impact.
