We are excited to announce the launch of the AMCF National Muslim Endowment Council (NMEC) as of December 2024! This Council is a virtual space for endowment members to network together, access investment advising and learn about endowments and investments from experts. The Council will meet quarterly to share missions, goals, successes, challenges and progress around growing their endowments. We will also bring in experts to speak about investment-related topics, such as risk assessment, ethical investing, fundraising for your endowment and more! The Council is currently exclusively open as a benefit for our hosted endowments. December 2024 (First Meeting)
In our first convening of the NMEC, members introduced themselves and shared their missions and endowment goals. Our asset manager team Andalus Capital/Turner Financial Group presented their investment approach and provided a demo of the realtime endowment portal.
January 2025
In our second convening of the NMEC, we had Muhi Khwaja present on endowment fundraising strategy and tips, especially in preparing for Ramadan. Andrew Tang from TFG provided a market update and endowments shared challenges and successes in their endowment fundraising experiences.
