Getting Started: How to Log In to the AMCF Donor Portal

Every DAF and endowment holder received a login invitation via email. Here’s how to access your account:

  1. Visit amuslimcf.org
  2. Click the Donate tab in the top navigation
  3. Select DAF Login Enter
  4. your email and the password you created during setup
  5. Complete two-factor authentication if prompted

If you haven’t received your login invitation or are experiencing issues accessing your account, email DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org. The AMCF team uses a ticketing system to track every request and responds within 2–3 business days.

⚡ Pro Tip: Log in and test the portal now — don’t wait until Ramadan. If you encounter any issues, the team can resolve them before the rush begins.

Your Fund Summary Dashboard

Once logged in to the AMCF donor portal, your fund summary dashboard provides a snapshot of your giving. Here’s what you’ll see:

Dashboard Overview

The main screen displays your fund name, current balance, total lifetime grant distributions, and total contributions. A pie chart and bar graph visualize your giving history by charity, and you can adjust the date range to view different time periods.

Contribution History

The left menu includes your complete contribution history — every donation you’ve made to your DAF or other AMCF funds. You can sort, filter, and export this data to Excel for your personal records.

Distribution Summary & History

View all grant distributions organized alphabetically by charity, by amount, or by number of grants. The distribution history tab shows the date, status, charity name, and fund for every distribution you’ve ever requested — and you can use the Copy button to quickly recreate a grant to a charity you support regularly.

Making Contributions to Your DAF

The new portal offers two ways to contribute funds:

Contribute Button (Multiple Funds)

Click Contribute on the left side to see a full list of available funds — your DAF, AMCF Operations, endowments (including the EverWaqf Fund), the AMCF Women’s Giving Circle, and more. Select a fund, enter an amount, and add it to your cart. You can make multiple donations in one checkout session.

Donate Button (DAF Only)

For a streamlined experience, click Donate on the main dashboard to contribute directly to your DAF with a simplified checkout flow.

Payment Options

The portal uses Stripe for secure payment processing. You can pay by credit card (instant), bank account via ACH (1–2 business days), or Apple Pay. We recommend covering the processing fee at checkout so the full amount reaches your fund.

For appreciated asset donations (stocks, mutual funds, etc.), visit the asset donation page at amuslimcf.org/donate/assets.

Note: AMCF has updated brokerage information — non-Saturna accounts should now be directed to the AMCF Schwab account.

Creating Grant Distribution Requests

Recommending grants to the nonprofits you care about is one of the most powerful features of the AMCF donor portal. Here’s how it works:

Step-by-Step: Submit a Grant

  1. Click Create a Grant Request in the top right of your dashboard
  2. Choose how to find the nonprofit:
    • Previous Grantee — select from charities you’ve already supported
    • Search Grantee — search AMCF’s database first, then Candid/GuideStar for organizations not yet in the system
    • Manual Grantee — enter details yourself (use search when possible for accuracy)
  3. Enter the grant amount and add a description
  4. Optionally set the grant as recurring (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually)
  5. Confirm and Add to Cart
  6. Repeat for additional grants, then Submit when ready

Your cart persists between sessions — add grants now, log out, and come back to submit them later.

Grant Processing Timeline

AMCF processes distributions weekly (twice weekly during Ramadan). Charities receive funds via ACH within 3–5 business days after processing. If your funds need to be liquidated from investments first, add approximately one additional week.

Help the nonprofits you support get paid faster by sharing the ACH Direct Deposit setup form with them: amuslimcf.org/ach-direct-deposit-setup

Investments, Fees & Fund Statements

Sharia-Compliant Investment Options

AMCF offers three Sharia-compliant investment strategies — conservative, moderate, and aggressive — certified through Zoya Financials. Investment is opt-in; if you haven’t submitted the investment form, your balance remains in cash. In 2025, the portfolio achieved approximately 17% ROI. Learn more at amuslimcf.org/investment.

Administrative Fees

AMCF charges a 0.75% annual support fee on the first $500,000. These fees directly fund community programs, nonprofit capacity building, and AMCF operations. For invested funds, the CIO’s firm charges an additional 1% for customized portfolios (no additional fee for conservative halal ETF/mutual fund portfolios). View full fee details at amuslimcf.org/dafs.

Fund Statements

Generate custom statements from the portal on a monthly, quarterly, or custom date range. Statements include beginning and ending balances, contributions, distributions, fees, and a complete summary of all grants made during the period. For 2026, AMCF plans to upload tax receipts directly to your portal profile.

🌙 Prepare Your DAF for Ramadan 2026

Ramadan 2026 begins on February 17. Here’s how to get your giving ready:

  • Log in now — test the portal and resolve any access issues before the rush
  • Pre-load your cart — add grant requests now and submit them when you’re ready
  • Liquidate in advance — if your funds are invested and you plan to make Ramadan distributions, email DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org to move funds into cash ahead of time
  • Set up recurring grants — automate your giving for the full month
  • Help your charities get paid faster — share the ACH setup form with nonprofits you support
  • Re-enter recurring transactions — all recurring grants and contributions from the old system have been paused and must be set up again in the new portal

During Ramadan, AMCF will process grant distributions twice per week to keep up with giving volume.

Frequently Asked Questions

Donor Portal FAQ

Answers to common questions from our February 2026 Donor Portal Training webinar. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Email DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org.

🔐 Getting Started

Visit amuslimcf.org and click the Donate tab at the top of the page, then select DAF Login. You can also navigate to Donors → Donor Advised Fund → DAF Login.

Each DAF holder received a login invitation via email. If you haven’t received yours or are having trouble logging in, email DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org.

💡 Tip: You may be prompted to set up two-factor authentication on your first login. We recommend logging in and testing the portal well before Ramadan begins.

Yes. AMCF can create separate donor records with individual email addresses, all linked to a single DAF household. Each person will have their own login and can view the same fund information and make grant distribution requests.

To add a household member, email DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org with their name and email address. They’ll receive a portal invitation to set up their own account. Allow 2–3 business days for processing.

If you see a discrepancy in your fund balance, personal details, or any other information, please email DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org. The team has a ticketing system in place to track and resolve requests. Allow 2–3 business days for a response.

💰 Contributions & Donations

After logging in, click the Contribute button on the left side of your dashboard. You’ll see a list of funds you can donate to — including your DAF, AMCF operations, endowments, and the Women’s Giving Circle.

Select the fund, enter an amount, and click Donate. Items are added to a cart, so you can make multiple donations in one session before checking out.

💡 Tip: If you only want to contribute to your DAF, you can also use the Donate button on the main dashboard for a simplified checkout.

The portal uses Stripe for payment processing and accepts:

Credit/Debit Cards — processed instantly. We recommend selecting the option to cover processing fees so the full amount goes to your fund.

Bank Account (ACH) — lower fees than credit card. If you link through the third-party bank system, it processes in about 1 business day. Manual bank entry takes 1–2 business days.

Apple Pay — available on Mac and iPhone devices.

Visit the Donate Appreciated Assets page on the AMCF website for full instructions and brokerage details.

Important update: AMCF has updated brokerage information in the last year. If your brokerage is with Saturna, you’ll continue using Saturna. For all other brokerages, send assets to the AMCF Schwab account. Please also fill out the new transfer form on the page so AMCF knows which shares to expect.

📤 Grants & Distributions

Click Create a Grant Request in the top right of your dashboard. You’ll have three options to find the nonprofit:

Previous Grantee — a dropdown of all charities you’ve previously supported. This is the fastest method.

Search Grantee — search AMCF’s database first, then expand to Candid (a national nonprofit database) if needed.

Manual Grantee — enter the nonprofit’s information yourself. We recommend using the search function when possible for accuracy.

Enter the amount, add a description, confirm the grant, and add it to your cart. You can add multiple grants before submitting.

AMCF processes grant distributions on a weekly basis (twice weekly during Ramadan). Once processed via ACH, charities receive funds within 3–5 business days.

If your funds are invested, add approximately one additional week for liquidation (about 3 days to liquidate + 3 days to receive cash, then processing).

💡 Ramadan Tip: If you plan to make distributions during Ramadan and your funds are invested, consider requesting a partial liquidation in advance. This moves funds into cash so grants can be processed faster. Email DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org to initiate.

Yes. When you add a grant to your cart, it remains there — even if you log out and log back in. You can prepare all of your Ramadan grants in advance and submit them when you’re ready.

Yes. When creating a grant request, check the Recurring box. You can then select a start date and frequency: monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.

Leave the “number of recurring” field blank for indefinite recurring grants, or enter a specific number to set an end point.

⚠️ Important: All recurring grants and contributions from the previous system have been paused. You’ll need to re-enter any recurring transactions in the new portal.

Yes. You’ll receive a notification when your grant distributions are processed and sent. The recipient nonprofit also receives a notification that they will be receiving the grant via ACH.

AMCF is transitioning from paper checks to ACH (electronic) direct deposit for sending grant distributions to nonprofits. This is faster and more reliable than checks.

To help the nonprofits you support get set up, share this link with them: DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org

Each nonprofit has been assigned a Vendor ID by AMCF for security purposes. AMCF has emailed vendor IDs directly to nonprofits. If a charity needs their Vendor ID resent, contact DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org.

📈 Investments & Balances

Not yet. Currently, the portal displays your total fund balance but does not break it down into invested vs. cash amounts. AMCF is actively working on integrating investment data into the portal, including a dedicated investment tab. This feature is expected in the coming months.

In the meantime, you’ll continue to receive quarterly investment reports. AMCF is taking over this reporting process — your Q4/year-end 2025 report will be delivered within the next two weeks.

AMCF offers three Sharia-compliant investment strategies: conservative, moderate, and aggressive. Investments are certified using Zoya Financials for Sharia compliance.

Investment is opt-in — if you’ve never filled out the investment form, your DAF balance remains in cash. To invest, fill out the investment form (link will be shared via email). You should submit this form each time you make a new contribution to ensure the new balance is invested.

In 2025, the ROI was approximately 17%, in line with the S&P 500. Visit amuslimcf.org/investment for more details.

AMCF’s policy is to fully liquidate donated shares within five business days and reinvest the proceeds into Sharia-compliant portfolios based on your selected strategy.

If you’re already donating a Sharia-compliant mutual fund or ETF and prefer a conservative strategy, it may be possible to retain those specific holdings. For donations over $100,000, donors can direct their own investment strategy.

Each situation has nuances — email DonorEngage@amuslimcf.org with questions about your specific holdings.

📋 Fees & Statements

For the first $500,000 in your DAF, AMCF charges a 0.75% annual support fee. These fees fund AMCF’s community programs, nonprofit capacity building, and operational infrastructure.

If your balance is invested, the Chief Investment Officer’s firm charges an additional 1% for customized portfolios. Conservative portfolios using halal ETFs or mutual funds have no additional investment fee.

Full fee details: amuslimcf.org/dafs (scroll to bottom of page).

In the portal, navigate to Fund Statements from the left menu. You can generate statements on a monthly, quarterly, or custom date range basis.

Statements show your beginning balance, contributions, distributions (expenses), fees, ending balance, and a summary of every grant you made during that period.

For 2026, AMCF plans to upload tax receipts directly to your portal profile for easy access.
