AMCF Giving Circle & The Nour Company are partnering to present monthly meet-ups to encourage networking and collaboration amongst Muslim Women Changemakers. Join us to learn about AMCF, giving circles, build community, share tips, and enjoy refreshments!
Muslim Women's Retreat
September 13-15th
As part of community network building, the Women’s Giving Circle is a micro-sponsor of the Muslim Women’s Retreat which is an event planned and organized by a team of SoCal volunteers to develop sisterhood in the Southland. Our managing fellow, Shazeen Mufti, will be giving a brief introduction to Philanthropy over the course of this relaxing weekend in the mountains of Lake Arrowhead.
The 3rd Annual Educator's Forum
The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California will be hosting this premiere event for educators in the Southland. This inclusive workshop is focussed on bringing together in one room the diverse Islamic educational community representing full-time schools, weekend schools, charter schools, homeschooling parents, co-ops, hifdh schools, as well as Muslims in public education. The Women’s Giving Circle is a proud micro-sponsor for this event and will be distributing information to all attendees.

Giving Circle at the Nonprofit Summit on August 29th
The Women’s Giving Circle Team flew to Dallas to attend the Nonprofit Summit hosted by AMCF, ISNA & Oaktree Institue. Our team had a booth at the summit and mingled with the over 120 nonprofit leaders from across the country who were in attendance. We also walked the halls of the ISNA bazaar meeting with numerous vendors, nonprofits, media outlets, and charitable organizations serving the Muslim community. We also headed out in the Dallas sun to enjoy a taste of the local food scene! In addition, we had the opportunity to meet with members of the AMCF staff and board for an amazing post-summit breakfast

Changemaker Dinner on August 17th
The OC Fish Grill in Irvine, CA, was the site of our first in-person event. Several SoCal community members hopped onto the freeway on a balmy summer evening to learn more about each other, AMCF, and the Women’s Giving Circle. Attendees look forward to more in-person gatherings as well as virtual informational sessions to learn more about philanthropy. We are excited to begin to build a community of individuals representing a wide range of interests and backgrounds, coming together to uplift each other and amplify the voice of their favorite nonprofit organization.
