Eid Giving & Gratitude | Eid Mubarak from AMCF

A beautifully styled Eid celebration table featuring a coffee cup, dates, and ma’amoul pastries. Hands of diverse individuals—showcasing a variety of skin tones and cultural clothing—reach in from all sides to share the treats. In the center, elegant Arabic calligraphy reads “Eid Mubarak.” The scene is warm, joyful, and communal, evoking the spirit of togetherness during Eid.

Eid giving is a powerful expression of gratitude and faith. As the crescent moon marks the joyous arrival of Eid ul-Fitr, we at the American Muslim Community Foundation (AMCF) are filled with immense gratitude. This blessed occasion invites us to reflect on a month of fasting, spiritual growth, and charitable giving—and to celebrate the generosity that continues to uplift communities across the globe.

This year’s Eid giving helped AMCF distribute over $1.5 million to a wide array of nonprofits, contributing to a remarkable total of $23 million in philanthropic support since our founding. Each gift—large or small—demonstrates the power of collective giving and the strategic philanthropy that fuels sustainable change. Whether supporting food banks, housing shelters, educational initiatives, or international relief efforts, every dollar represents impact, resilience, and the unwavering compassion of our community.

Eid is a time of renewal and connection. After a month of intentional self-discipline and reflection, we come together with loved ones to share long-awaited cups of coffee, sweet treats, and plenty of laughter. It’s also a time to celebrate personal expression—think of it as the Muslim MET Gala, where every outfit reflects a tapestry of cultures and joy. Whether you’re embracing traditional attire or debuting a fresh look, it’s your moment to shine. (And yes, the afternoon Eid-nap is absolutely essential.)

As we gather around tables filled with delicious dishes, we’re reminded of the blessings we’ve been given—and the responsibility we share to uplift others. This year’s distributions are more than just numbers: they mean meals on plates, students in classrooms, communities rebuilt, and lives transformed. Every grant made through AMCF leaves an indelible impact, and that’s something to celebrate.

To our donors, partners, and supporters—thank you, a million times over. Your generosity, trust, and belief in our mission empower us to continue this vital work. Everything you give allows us to give more strategically and effectively, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

As we celebrate, our hearts also remain heavy with the grief of ongoing crises in Palestine, Sudan, and the challenges here in the United States. May Allah provide ease, justice, and healing for all those facing hardship and loss.

Make Eid Giving a Year-Round Commitment

While Eid is a special time for reflection and generosity, your giving doesn’t have to end here. Tools like Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) allow you to plan sadaqah, zakat, and legacy giving with intentionality. AMCF makes it easy to automate your support for the causes you care about—so your Eid spirit can continue all year long.

Even a small monthly contribution through a Giving Circle or community fund builds lasting impact. Eid is just the beginning.

From all of us at AMCF—Eid Mubarak!
May this day bring you peace, joy, and endless blessings. Here’s to strong coffee, great company, bold fashion, and continued community impact. Let’s keep building, giving, and growing—together.

Please keep the AMCF family in your prayers.Warmly,
Muhi Khwaja & the AMCF Team
