AFP Muslim Affinity Group
The AFP Muslim Affinity Group is a quarterly professional network for fundraisers, development officers, and nonprofit leaders working with Muslim communities and Islamic organizations. Moderated by the AMCF team and hosted in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), these gatherings create space for peer learning, cultural competency, and career growth—rooted in Islamic values.
Meetings are open to everyone. AFP membership is not required.
About the Group
Muslim nonprofit professionals often navigate a unique intersection: maintaining authentic Islamic values while engaging with mainstream philanthropic networks. The AFP Muslim Affinity Group was co-founded by Muhi Khwaja, AMCF’s Co-Founder and CDO, to build exactly the kind of community that bridges that gap.
Each quarterly meeting brings together fundraisers and nonprofit leaders to discuss professional development, donor engagement, Islamic giving principles, and sector trends—with peers who share your cultural and religious context.
