Afshan Malik
Director of Development, Rabata
Afshan Malik serves as the Director of Development at Rabata, where she leads strategic fundraising and development efforts to support organizational growth and sustainability. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature and a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Education, Leadership, and Organization at Texas Woman’s University.
Afshan is the author of Pieces, a young adult novel published by Daybreak Press, and is a graduate of the Ribaat Teacher Certification Program. Her background in nonprofit leadership and Islamic studies informs her work in advancing accessible, faith-based education. Based in Houston with her husband and five children, she also contributes to teaching and community programming for women and youth.
