Donors look for organizations they can trust before they give. Volunteers look for work near them. Funders and partners look for organizations already doing what they want to support. All of them are searching, and most of them are not going to find a small nonprofit without help.
The AMCF Nonprofit Directory is a searchable, public listing of Muslim-led and Muslim-serving nonprofits in the United States. It is free, it is open to any qualifying organization whether or not you have an existing relationship with AMCF, and you control what appears on your profile.
Be findable
Your organization appears in a public, searchable listing that donors, volunteers, and funders use to find causes to support.
Show your work
Your profile carries your mission, a full description of what you do, and the categories that describe your focus areas.
Stay in control
Once your listing is approved, you get access to manage and update your own profile. No need to email us every time something changes.
No cost
Listing is free. There is no membership requirement and no fee at any stage.
Who can register
Your organization is eligible if it is:
- A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing with the IRS
- Based in the United States
- Led by or primarily serving the American Muslim community, or working on issues of direct concern to it
You do not need to be an AMCF grantee, fundholder, or endowment partner to be listed. The Directory is open to the wider field.
If you are not sure whether your organization qualifies, register anyway and let us take a look. We would rather review a borderline submission than miss an organization that belongs here.
What you will need
Registration takes about 10 minutes if you have these on hand:
- Your organization’s EIN, formatted 12-3456789
- Your annual operating budget
- Your mailing address and main phone number
- A public contact name, email, and phone for your listing
- Your mission statement
- A description of your organization and its work
- The categories that best describe your focus areas, up to three
The form has two parts. The first collects information AMCF needs internally to create your organization’s record. The second collects what appears publicly on your Directory profile. The two are kept separate on purpose.
What happens next

The form goes straight to the AMCF team.

We review
We verify your organization’s nonprofit status and check that the profile is complete. If anything is unclear, we email you.

Your listing goes live
You receive an email with instructions for accessing and managing your profile.
